OUR STORY

We met in Bogotá back in 2019 when Kirsten was on a trip to Colombia for a company event. Our connection endured through the challenging times of the pandemic, and then in 2021 we officially embarked on our long-distance relationship between New York and Colombia. Over these past two years, we have had many adventures exploring different parts of the world, including:

We have a lot of shared interests. The one that bonded us the most was food and cooking. We love trying new restaurants and different cuisines - here are some of our favorites:

Other than food, we also enjoy working out together. Before we met, Kirsten was only interested in running and Jose was only interested in lifting weights. After we started dating, we influenced each other and we now each do a little bit of both.

Lastly, as we are both software engineers, we also like to chat about technologies. This very website you are looking at is the first project we collaborated together!

After we get married, we plan to take a trip to Europe or Asia for our honeymoon. We have not fully decided on the itinerary yet, so recommendations are welcomed 😀
